Since 1963, East Cooper Outboard Motor Club (ECOMC) has operated the Goldbug Island Turkey Shoot. The annual Turkey Shoot, in its 61st year (2024), began as a modest fundraiser to raise money for several local East of the Cooper charities. Our total donations thru 2023 exceed $598,800.00.
The Turkey Shoot consists of 10 participant lanes shooting either a 12 or a 410 gauge shotgun at paper targets. The closest pellet to the cross hairs wins a Harris Teeter $ gift card.
50/50 rounds, Kids only rounds and Ladies rounds are also part of the fun.

The ECOMC Ladies Auxiliary operates a concessions stand each night of the Turkey Shoot serving hot dogs, boiled peanuts, candy, beverages and so much more!
We provide the shotguns and ammo or you may bring your own shotgun with a barrel length of 36” or less.
